The problem
A live ordering platform needed to move its data from SQL Server to PostgreSQL without a long shutdown.
What I built
I moved the data table by table with the AWS migration service, fixed the sequences and indexes afterwards, and solved a live change-capture issue in production.
The result
Ordering stayed online during the move.
