AWS network and database migration for a mobile game backend

The problem
A mobile gaming company ran a live production database and needed a proper AWS network around it before building further. The database could not sit exposed on the internet.
What I built
I built a private network with a controlled way in for engineers and a load-balanced path for the API, then moved the database behind it.
The result
The database now sits in a private network, not on the open internet.
